I need help with housing
You need help finding, keeping, or setting up a home
Housing and mental health are deeply connected
Comcare has been working on housing for decades. We know that without a safe, stable place to live, everything else gets harder. Our housing services aren't just about finding a roof — they're about making sure you can stay there, feel settled, and build a life.

What kinds of housing support we offer
Comcare provides several different types of housing support depending on your situation:
• Transitional Housing — short-term, supported housing while you get back on your feet
• Social Housing — longer-term housing for people who need it
• Sustaining Tenancies — support to keep your current tenancy if you're at risk of losing it
• Home Rescue — urgent practical help if you've been hospitalised and your home situation needs attention while you're away
• Group Living — supported shared living arrangements for people who need some community around them

What Home Rescue actually means
This one surprises people. If you're admitted to hospital and there are concerns about your home — bills piling up, things deteriorating, pets needing care — Comcare can step in and sort things out so you're not coming home to a crisis. This is one of the most practical services we offer.
" I didn't even know something like that existed. They sorted out my mail and checked on my cat while I was in hospital."
